Online e-learning Training Program to Promote Suicide Countermeasures at Universities

In response to the increasingly serious issue of student suicide in recent years, the Japan Suicide Countermeasures Promotion Center (JSCP) launched the “Online Training Program to Promote Suicide Coutermeasures at Universities” in fiscal years 2022 and 2023. These sessions were delivered in an on-demand format, allowing flexible access for university faculty and staff.

The training received highly positive feedback, with many participants expressing a desire to revisit the content multiple times. To meet this demand, JSCP now offers the program as an e-learning course, accessible anytime and as often as needed.

After watching the training videos, participants who pass the review test will receive a certificate of completion. This certificate can be used as proof of participation and for internal record-keeping.
The training content will be updated and expanded periodically to reflect the latest knowledge and practices.
We encourage all university personnel to take advantage of this program to help protect and support the lives of students as they move forward into the future.
